What We're Loving August 2018
We still can't believe we're over half way through August! This month brings a whirlwind of movement for college students, and we get that. Moving into new places, trying to make that space home, getting prepped for new routines and enjoying the beauty of the still-summer-almost-fall vibes in Fort Collins. Here's some things we're loving these days:
Hoopla- Digital Streaming from the Library!
Wishing you had more time to sit down and read? Most of us have things we want to read but it falls so low on the priority list. With Hoopla (for iOS or Android) you can listen to new and popular audiobooks while lifting weights at the gym, driving around town or getting groceries. You can rent movies, e-books, and listen to music. The best part is, its all FREE with your library card! You can use your CSU id or go get a library card with your license at The Poudre River Library.
Paraboo Press- Photo Prints on a Budget
With Paraboo Press you can get a wide range of photos for pretty cheap. Their Engineer Prints specifically are super affordable and huge. Did you just move into a new place with huge blank walls and nothing to put on them? For $25 get a 3x4 foot print of favorite photo. Also any time you order, you can get 25 small square prints for free, you just pay shipping.
Everyday Joe's Root Beer Milk Latte
The Root Beer Milk Latte from Everyday Joe's is just a dream. Its like drinking a root beer float with coffee. Morning Fresh Dairy makes the delicious milk, and Everyday Joe's made it a latte. It only comes iced, and it will blow your mind. There is nothing better on a hot afternoon.
Ready or Not: Leaning into Life in Our Twenties by Drew Moser and Jess Fankhauser
We're loving this book! It is a much-needed resource for young people on exploring the complexity of vocation in empowering, not prescriptive, ways. After exploring four foundational questions for emerging adulthood―Who is God? Who am I? How have I been shaped? What are my contexts?―you will work through interactive chapters covering the contours of adulthood, including: spirituality, family, community, and work. Get yours here.
